About this tool
Calculate carton volume and an illustrative shipment or container capacity estimate from the entered dimensions. Use the result as a volume-planning worksheet before checking the actual loading layout and weight constraints.
Calculations and file processing run in this browser tab. The tool does not send working inputs or files to our hosting server.

Features
- Work with Master Carton Length (cm); Master Carton Width (cm); Master Carton Height (cm).
- Review Single Carton CBM; Total Shipment CBM; Max Cartons in 20ft Container in the result breakdown.
Benefits
- Compare carton sizes on a common volume basis.
- Estimate the scale of a shipment before detailed loading plans.
Who should use this tool?
- Importers reviewing carton volume.
- Warehouse teams preparing shipment estimates.
How to use
- Complete the labelled fields for your scenario, including Master Carton Length (cm); Master Carton Width (cm); Master Carton Height (cm). Use the units shown beside each field.
- Try the example labelled “100 Cartons of 60×40×40 cm (9.6 CBM Total)” if you want to check the workflow first.
- Select Calculate / Run Tool and review Total Shipment Volume (CBM & CFT) and Single Carton CBM; Total Shipment CBM.
- Check the assumptions and limitations below. Adjust a value to compare scenarios, then copy or download the result you need.

FAQs
Does a volume estimate guarantee that all cartons will fit?
Actual fit depends on carton orientation, usable dimensions, weight, stacking and handling space. A CBM total does not replace a physical loading plan.
Which inputs do I need for Carton CBM (Cubic Meter) & Container Load Calculator?
Use Master Carton Length (cm); Master Carton Width (cm); Master Carton Height (cm); Total Number of Cartons. The built-in examples show how those fields fit together.
What should I check before using this result?
Container capacity uses practical ~85% space utilization (28 CBM for 20ft GP, 58 CBM for 40ft GP, 68 CBM for 40ft HC). Check the assumptions and output against your intended task before relying on the result.
